Until recently, Penélope Cruz has played the beauty game by her own rules, casually side-stepping viral trends in favor of her trusty, choppy, shoulder-length hair. Color was the space where she experimented, leaning toward caramel highlights one minute and dark ombré with a honey-toned underside the next.

But right now Penélope is in her experimental hair era. Back in January, she chopped her hair into an of-the-moment glass bob for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ 14th Governors Awards in Hollywood. Smooth and ultrashiny, it laid the foundation for sun-kissed blonde highlights and a voluminous style—with curled ends and a wave through the front—at the SAG Awards.

Then this week, the actor arrived for Chanel’s AW24 runway show at Paris Fashion Week debuting another lust-worthy bob style that we’re immediately adding to our spring mood board.

Penélope’s Sliced Bob

Penélope can be seen with a center-parted, nape-length “sliced bob.” Characterized by its blunt ends, the “sliced bob” fell in sleek sheets around her face with a little root lift on the crown. Her hair color was a well-blended mix of copper and caramel, the next-level shine matched only by her glossy black leather jacket and skirt and the sparkly stones in the interlocking C’s of her necklace and belt.

Makeup Look

Makeup-wise, Penélope Cruz leant towards a similar warm palette with copper eyeshadow on her lids, smoked-out chocolate eyeliner, a touch of bronzer high on the cheekbones, and a glossy nude lip. Chic doesn’t even come close.
