Margot Robbie and Chanel Reunite for Another Barbie Look
There was a time not long ago when Margot Robbie was synonymous with Chanel. But when the actor switched stylists from Kate Young to Andrew Mukamal in 2023, she also branched out into new fashion territory: Bottega Veneta, Versace, and Schiaparelli have since expanded her wardrobe. Still, Robbie was outfitted in a host of Chanel costumes for Barbie—including a rare statement necklace from the 1995 spring ready-to-wear collection, and a handful of tweed dresses and skirts. The actor teamed up with the French fashion house once again, as she nears the end of a marathon press tour for the film.
Chanel Look at the Oscar Nominees Luncheon
Today, on the occasion of the Oscar nominees luncheon in Beverly Hills, Robbie opted for a three-piece skirt suit in a pink and white tweed. She wore a bralette which she covered with a cropped jacket and a nigh-waisted miniskirt. All three pieces were embellished in a silver sequined argyle pattern, and lined in a pink and white braided cord. She accessorized with a purse of the same material—a small, doll-like top handle bag with the telltale gold interlocking C’s at the flap. As for her shoes, she wore a custom pair of Manolo Blahnik pumps: cream colored slingbacks with a black pointy toe.
Chanel’s Role in the Barbie Film
With Chanel’s role in the Barbie film, and her long history with the brand, it’ll be interesting to see if Robbie continues to wear them for the dog days of awards season.
