Before Kaya Scodelario applies her springy makeup look, the British actress has a few pores to unclog. Whipping out The Ordinary’s cream cleanser, the 31-year-old explains her pressing need for dirt removal. “I’ve just flown from London to Los Angeles and my face feels kind of gross and dirty and clog-y,” the Skins star notes. Herewith, Scodelario walks through her “light and easy” beauty routine that refreshes her after the long-haul trek.

Hydration is Key

“When I’m traveling for work, I end up getting quite dry skin,” the actress says. As such, she focuses on getting as much hydration back in her skin as possible. She layers Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Serum on top of Tatcha’s plumping Essence to achieve this.

Freckles Are Cool

Scodelario embraces her freckles, commenting on her complexion and how she used to try to hide them with concealer. She now sees her freckles as a part of herself and finds them cool.

Feel-Good Beauty Bag

Her beauty bag is filled with products that feel good on her skin, emphasizing the importance of products that make her feel good.

Makeup Routine

Foundation and Eyes

Scodelario uses MAC Face & Body foundation, a product she has been loyal to for 15 years, emphasizing the importance of finding products you love. She then goes for a cat eye using Ilia’s liquid liner and her favorite mascara, Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes.

Blush and Highlight

She blends champagne and taupe shadows from Chanel’s palette and adds Hourglass bronzer with a fluffy brush. Highlighter is patted onto her cheekbones and the tip of her nose using Charlotte Tilbury product.

Lips and Scent

After lipstick and a facial mist, she finishes with Vilhelm Parfumerie’s Peony Couture, her signature scent, for a light and easy springy vibe.
